NIMBA expectant parent sessions are approximately 2 hours long and a great way of preparing you for the arrival of your babies. We cover topics such as.... - Planning for the arrival of your multiples - Your hospital stay - Coming home and the early days with your multiples - What equipment you will (and won't) need - Getting help and support - Breast and bottle feeding - Routines - Getting out and about with your multiples It's also a great way to meet other parents expecting multiples. The session is open to mums, dads, partners, grandparents and anyone who might help you in the early days with your twins or triplets.

Our once a year, we have a sausage sizzle fundraiser event at Bunnings. This helps fund NIMBA's events, particularly our End of Year party. Family and friends very welcome to volunteer in your stead too! If you’re unable to make it on the day, here’s some other ways you can help: (a) contribute a Coles/Woolworths e-voucher so we can purchase water/soft drinks to sell (just email it to events@nimba.amba.org.au) OR (b) Lend us an esky to keep 80kgs of sausages (or the drinks) cool! 

Come along to connect and play with other families of multiples. All ages welcome, we’ll have mats & toys for babies, and plenty of toys for the bigs. If the weather is dry we’ll open the doors and enjoy the secure fenced outdoor play area. Change table, toilets and kitchen all available. Tea and coffee available, bring morning tea for the kids if needed. This is a member only event. We have lots of fun activities planned, including a mini petting zoo, face painting and Steve the Magician!  Plus…morning tea and a coffee cart!  Note this event will be held outdoors & indoors, so bring a hat, sunscreen, picnic rug, etc. Kindly RSVP by purchasing a 'Free Ticket' via TidyHQ in order for us to better estimate numbers for catering and plan gifts for the children.  Please note that photos may be taken at NIMBA events for the purpose of celebrating our community and recording our history. Please join us for a NIMBA Weekend Playgroup in Merri-Bek 🤗We welcome all ages! Held on the last Sunday of the month, playgroup is a great chance to get together with other families of multiples for a chat, a snack and a play.  All-ages are welcome!!! As are siblings and family members.  NIMBA DISCO!! The crew from Bop til you Drop will come by at 10.00am and run a special Mini Boppers disco that will be fun and inclusive for all ages. The children will be supported to dance and sing along (with some real microphones!!) to some classic hits and favourite kiddie songs. Plus, there will be a few other surprise activities!    Tea and coffee provided. BYO snacks or drinks for your little ones.  The space: the hall is a large open space so there is lots of room for prams, lots of space for different play zones, kid sized tables to sit at for a play or a snack, and a cushy mat for littlies to lay on.   Come through the front gate, through the front doors and you'll find us at the end of the hallway in the back room  (there are a couple of steps inside in the hallway - if you need help getting down with a pram let us know!) Dr Laura Conway of Infant Sleep Australia will cover sleep & settling for some of our youngest NIMBA members - our toddlers (12 - 36 months). With thanks to the Inger Rice Foundation, this session will cover information about sleep in toddlers aged 12 - 36 months, common sleep difficulties (eg bedtime resistance, split nights) and provide practical strategies to address these difficulties tailored to families with multiples. The presentation will run for approximately 45mins plus up to 30mins for Q&A. - Laura has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, first class honours and a PhD in Early Childhood Development. She is an Honorary Fellow at the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Royal Children’s Hospital. She is a mother of two.  - Dr Laura Conway (PhD) is passionate about supporting parents whose babies have sleep problems. She draws on her expertise in early child development and paediatric sleep to work alongside families to address their child’s sleep difficulties. Laura ensures the latest research evidence is embedded in the advice and support she provides to families. Laura can help children aged 0-5 who: - have problems settling to sleep, - wake frequently overnight, - resist going to bed e.g., using stalling tactics, or - wake up too early in the morning. Laura enjoys helping parents to improve their child’s sleep and watching the positive changes that follow for the whole family. Join us for a fun-filled Family Sports Day celebrating Children’s Week! This exciting morning is designed for kids of all ages and will include a mix of obstacle courses and structured games designed to get everyone moving — with opportunities for parents to join in the fun with your little ones! The session will be led by the popular Aaron from Sports4Kinder, and proudly proudly funded by a Children’s Week grant from the Department of Education.
