We have booked the miniBOUNCE zone. It has a a two-level active play structure with a dual-lane slide, a ball pit and a mini challenge course. The features and equipment encourage playful exploration and help build confidence and independence while having fun. Tickets are only for the MiniBounce Zone (exclusively for pre-schoolers : walking age (18months) to 5yo/110cms), therefore please only order tickets for NIMBA pre-school family members. If you have yet to renew your membership, the NIMBA Committee requests your membership is renewed before ordering tickets as non-renewed members are ineligible to attend. Please note that photos may be taken at NIMBA events for the purpose of celebrating our community and recording our history. Photos may be published on social media or provided to our grant partners for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please make it known to the event organiser. FAQs Do I order tickets for over-5 year olds (children)? No, for members with over 5 year olds, please book a General Session via the website (https://www.bounceinc.com.au/venue-heidelberg-vic) for the same time and date, and send the invoice to treasurer@nimba.amba.org.au to be reimbursed. Do I order tickets for adults? No, adults attending Kid-Zone with their under-5 year olds do not require a ticket. Do I order tickets for adults who want a General Session ticket? NIMBA will reimburse the cost of children only. Big adult kids will need to purchase their own tickets. Can I come if I have not yet renewed my membership? Please ensure your membership is up-to-date before ordering your tickets. Members who have not renewed their membership are ineligible to attend. Please join us for a NIMBA Weekend Playgroup in Merri-Bek 🤗We welcome all ages! Held on the last Sunday of the month, playgroup is a great chance to get together with other families of multiples for a chat, a snack and a play.  THIS SESSION WE HAVE A SPECIAL GUEST FROM SPORTS4KINDERS!! Everybody's favourite guy Aaron is coming to play some fun games with the kids, bringing all of his equipment and great energy. Not to be missed!! All-ages are welcome!!! As are siblings and family members.  Tea and coffee provided. BYO snacks or drinks for your little ones.  The space: the hall is a large open space so there is lots of room for prams, lots of space for different play zones, kid sized tables to sit at for a play or a snack, and a cushy mat for littlies to lay on.   Come through the front gate, through the front doors and you'll find us at the end of the hallway in the back room  (there are a couple of steps inside in the hallway - if you need help getting down with a pram let us know!) Bring your Bubs or Bumps along to chat all things twin life at our next catch up with other parents (and parents-to-be) of young multiples aged 0-24 months. Find solidarity with fellow parents in the baby-stage, share tips and tricks for managing multiples with new parents-to-be and meet our lovely community! NIMBA expectant parent sessions are approximately 2 hours long and a great way of preparing you for the arrival of your babies. We cover topics such as.... - Planning for the arrival of your multiples - Your hospital stay - Coming home and the early days with your multiples - What equipment you will (and won't) need - Getting help and support - Breast and bottle feeding - Routines - Getting out and about with your multiples It's also a great way to meet other parents expecting multiples. The session is open to mums, dads, partners, grandparents and anyone who might help you in the early days with your twins or triplets. Dr Laura Conway of Infant Sleep Australia will cover sleep & settling for our youngest NIMBA members - our toddlers (A seperate session for those aged up to 12 months is scheudled for April 29th). With thanks to the Inger Rice Foundation, this session will cover information about sleep in babies aged 12-36 months, common sleep difficulties (eg frequent wakes, irregular schedules) and provide practical strategies to address these difficulties tailored to families with multiples. The presentation will run for approximately 45mins plus up to 30mins for Q&A. - Laura has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, first class honours and a PhD in Early Childhood Development. She is an Honorary Fellow at the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Royal Children’s Hospital. She is a mother of two. - Dr Laura Conway (PhD) is passionate about supporting parents whose babies have sleep problems. She draws on her expertise in early child development and paediatric sleep to work alongside families to address their child’s sleep difficulties. Laura ensures the latest research evidence is embedded in the advice and support she provides to families. Laura can help children aged 0-5 who: - have problems settling to sleep, - wake frequently overnight, - resist going to bed e.g., using stalling tactics, or - wake up too early in the morning. Laura enjoys helping parents to improve their child’s sleep and watching the positive changes that follow for the whole family.
