Online Webinar: Sleeping & Settling Babies (0-12 months)
19:30 – 20:45
Dr Laura Conway of Infant Sleep Australia will cover sleep & settling for our youngest NIMBA members (those aged up to 12 months). With thanks to the Inger Rice Foundation, this session will cover information about sleep in babies aged 0-12months, common sleep difficulties (eg frequent wakes, irregular schedules) and provide practical strategies to address these difficulties tailored to families with multiples. The presentation will run for approximately 45mins plus up to 30mins for Q&A. We will reach out about a week prior to the event, to see if attendees have any specific questions they'd like covered. - Laura has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, first class honours and a PhD in Early Childhood Development. She is an Honorary Fellow at the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Royal Children’s Hospital. She is a mother of two. - Dr Laura Conway (PhD) is passionate about supporting parents whose babies have sleep problems. She draws on her expertise in early child development and paediatric sleep to work alongside families to address their child’s sleep difficulties. Laura ensures the latest research evidence is embedded in the advice and support she provides to families. Laura can help children aged 0-5 who: - have problems settling to sleep, - wake frequently overnight, - resist going to bed e.g., using stalling tactics, or - wake up too early in the morning. Laura enjoys helping parents to improve their child’s sleep and watching the positive changes that follow for the whole family. She helps tired parents build strong relationships with their babies and children. ++++++ Teams Meeting joining info will be shared 1 week prior to event. Education Event : Breastfeeding for Multiples
13:00 – 16:00
Expectant parents and new parents welcome — bring your bubs! Ever been to a breastfeeding info session that covers all the tips for feeding one baby, but leaves you wondering how on earth to manage feeding two (or more)? You're not alone — and this session is for you! Whether you’re still expecting or your babies have already arrived, join us for a supportive, practical, and honest session all about feeding multiples — from the early days and beyond. Venue details are shared on the Facebook Event for members. If you don't have access to our Facebook event, please email Beatrice at events@nimba.amba.org.au for further information.   The Presenter: Simone brings a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting families with twins and more. She’ll guide you through what feeding might look like in the early days depending on gestation, birth weight, and feeding goals — whether that’s exclusive breastfeeding, mixed feeding, or a combination that works for your family.  The Session: Simone’s talk will be divided into two parts:  Schedule: *Antenatal (1:00 - 2.15pm): Preparing for feeding, understanding what to expect, and planning ahead * Break (2:15pm - 2:45pm) *Postnatal (2:45 – 4:00 PM) : Practical tips, positions, gadgets, and real-life strategies for feeding two babies at once We’ll explore: - Setting up for feeds - Holding and positioning two babies - Managing supply for multiples - Useful equipment and gadgets - When and how to express or combine feeds - Realistic support you may need  Questions? There’ll also be plenty of time for questions — so bring yours along!  Support is Available! We're thrilled to have 3 amazing NIMBA volunteers attending just to support families during the session. If you're bringing your babies, know that help will be on hand. We understand how tricky it can be getting out and about with multiples, so we’re here to assist however we can — whether it’s settling a bub or just holding someone for a cuddle while you take a breath.  Some light refreshments will be provided

Toilet Training for Multiples - Online Webinar
19:30 – 21:30
As we start to come into some warmer weather in the spring, what better time to think about toilet training?! Join Monica Ferrie from Toilet Training Educators who will teach you how to create the perfect environment for your children to learn this new skill and what tools you need to make this happen. We will learn and develop skills that provide a solid foundation for evidence based toilet 'training' - it's a skill that must be learned, like eating or walking. The session will cover: • the research about toilet training including optimal time to start • toilet training as a normal skill development process • how to go about the process of toilet training • what problems might be encountered along the way and dealing with them • the difference between a toilet training issue and a continence problem • continence issues including day wetting, constipation and soiling • night wetting or bedwetting. About Monica Ferrie: Monica’s expertise lies in creating environments where people can perform at their best and ensuring they have the skills and tools to make that happen. Understanding how we learn and develop skills provides a solid foundation for evidence based toilet ‘training’ – it’s a skill that must be learned – like eating or walking. Toilet Training Educators Resources: https://toilettrainingeducators.com.au/resource-centre/ This will be an online event via Google Meet - details will be shared in our NIMBA Group Facebook event.  +++++++++++ This is a NIMBA funded event for NIMBA and AMBA club members.

🎳 NIMBA Father’s Day Social – Bowling & Beers 🎳
The Keys
19:30 – 22:00
“Careful, man, there’s a beverage here!” 🍺   NIMBA Dads (and Dads-to-be), it’s time to abide. We’re celebrating Father’s Day with an informal catch-up: dinner, drinks, and of course a little bowling. Think of it as a chance to roll out your best Big Lebowski quotes, hurl a few strikes, or just hang out with some good company.   We’ve got a lane booked from 8pm for one hour. The venue suggests rolling in early if you want to bowl (socks & flat shoes required). But hey - “the Dude minds, man” if you stress. No pressure: if bowling isn’t your thing, or you can only drift in later, that’s cool.   Dinner and drinks can be purchased at the bar. (“This is not ‘Nam. There are rules.” …but you can order whatever you like.) 📍 Venue details: see the Facebook event ✅ RSVP via Facebook or get a ticket here so we can confirm numbers with the venue.   Hosts: Shaun Bright & Rob Kinghorn 📸 We may take photos on the night to share on Facebook – let us know if you don’t want to appear.   So join us for a night where the strikes and gutters, ups and downs all count. After all - “that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”
